About PSST
History of the Company:
PSST, a software integration and development firm founded in 1990, concentrates
on the specific needs of educational and governmental agencies. Having broad experience
in this marketplace, the company quickly teamed with MUNIS® (formerly Computer Center
Software) in 1992, selling and supporting the MUNIS® product line within Kentucky.
As the company expanded across the Commonwealth and into other regions, experienced
personnel were continually added.
Using the company's deep technological knowledge and in-depth MUNIS® experience,
PSST began providing complimentary products to the MUNIS® database, such as district
specific processing, seamless bidirectional interfaces, analytical data mining tools
and enterprise wide data manager applications.
Today, PSST continues its client-centered focus, and PSST is uniquely qualified
and positioned to help your organization succeed. PSST can help you meet the ever
increasing demands of "doing more with less" by increasing employee productivity,
and increasing efficiency for your organization
Staff:
PSST employs experienced, knowledgeable, and an user-friendly staff. Our personnel,
some with over 25 years of experience, understand the governmental accounting and
payroll / personnel arenas. Supporting Kentucky school districts, as well as non-school
related agencies, our staff quickly relate to our client's needs, understanding
issues and defining objectives and solutions in an expedient and cost effective
manner.
Relationships:
PSST enjoys unique and collaborative relationships with many industry leaders. Additionally,
our excellent relationship with our clients provides access to senior, qualified
personnel required for complicated or unusual circumstances. PSST strives to provide
the senior level resources necessary to meet today's challenges.
Approach:
In addition to offering exceptional MUNIS® support services, PSST administers a client
consortium, holding a dedicated conference for consortium members three times a
year. During the conferences, clients share information and insight into issues
relevant to their work. PSST then looks for ways to address those issues. During
these conferences information concerning upcoming products, new procedures, and
potential projects requested by the client base is shared. These conferences are
well attended and useful to the MUNIS® users.
Training:
Training is the foundation upon which successful operations occur. PSST trains to
meet the clients' requirements. Training sessions occur in a conference setting,
a classroom setting, and on-site at a user's workstation. Our trainers successfully
educate groups from 1 to over 200. Specialized materials are never a problem. Our
goal is meeting your instructional needs. Whether the training is centered around
your MUNIS® application, Crystal Reports writing, understanding how to access your
data or more district specific topics, the PSST staff excels in the classroom.
Integration:
PSST has built a positive reputation developing solutions integrated with MUNIS®.
Besides teaching classes using connectivity tools to bring MUNIS® data directly into
Excel, Word, Access, Crystal Reports and other applications, PSST supplies custom
products meeting a wide range of client requests. Some of these integrated applications
are of a generic nature such as Professional Development Tracking or Document Management
Processing, with many others very specific to client needs.
Additionally, PSST developed statewide interfaces such as the AIRUS automatic data
extraction from the MUNIS® database directly into the American Fidelity 125 cafeteria
plan program providing timely, accurate information directly to the agent's laptops
Working with Ross, Sinclair and Associates, a bonding agency, PSST developed the
Tax Revenue Anticipation Notes (TRAN) automated interface. This program automatically
scans, evaluates and summarizes the cash flow history from the MUNIS® database producing
and forwarding a spreadsheet ready for the TRAN agent.
PSST Seamless Data tools, including electronic dashboards, analytical data drills
and business intelligence tools, facilitate MUNIS® integration, save resources, automate
processes, highlight trends, and aggregate and visualize real-time data. Many of
the nations leading K-12 software databases have been seamlessly integrated with
MUNIS® such as Aesop, TimeClock Plus, BMI photo Id system and SubFinder. Seamless
Data tools are web based and frequently designed at the request of our partnership
organizations across the country.
For enterprise data management, PSST utilizes a District Data Repository (DDR) concept
for the control, management and integration of diverse data from different enterprise-wide
databases, powered by an Enterprise Data Manager for customized, integrated, real-time
data display.
Business-to-Business:
If you are a software development organization, our seamless integration services
will greatly increase your software's value by seamlessly connecting your application
to the MUNIS® database. Seamlessly integrated data creates an architectural framework
of great value to your current and prospective clients.
