2017 PSST Academy K12 Training Summit to Feature Session on Fraud Monitoring

What Every K12 District Should Know...

The 2017 PSST Academy K12 Training Summit, to be held October 19-20, 2017 in Louisville, Kentucky, will feature a session about employee fraud and how it affects K12 districts.

The session, “Fraud Monitoring,” will led by Susan Barkley, Director of Finance at Shelby County Schools, Kentucky, and include her informative presentation, "The Case of the Phony Employee and other Real-Life Frauds in Schools.” PSST Client Success Advisor Keith Kucler will co-lead the session. Discussions will include:

  • high-risk areas for K12
  • effective internal controls
  • a review actual frauds in school districts
  • critical data monitors needed in place to monitor for fraud in your district
